On purpose is likely a given. The alternative is that they actually believe that taxation is the answer to societal problems. It is similar to the socialists; when you point out that socialism has failed every place and every time it has been tried - that it has killed over 100 million people - they reply that socialism just has not been tried {enforced} by the right people. Such thinking grows from a smug arrogance founded on ignorance - a refusal to deal with reality.
OTOH, there IS a purposeful cabal behind such idiotic economic policies: to weaken the United States and bump it off of its super power status. Their motivation is open to interpretation, but we were well on our way to imminent economic collapse by the end of the 0bama Admin - and he actually argued that there was no recovery, that Trump was a fool to promise otherwise.
A few weeks ago Tucker Carlson had a Harvard economist as a guest spouting the usual arrogant ignorant blather about the wonders of socialism. Tucker rebutted his baseless facts easily. At the end of the interview the Harvard shill, frustration oozing from his facial pores, gave a knowing smile and said that in the end the world was going to accept socialism - it is logical destiny.
This is the economics that they teach at Harvard: pay no attention to 100 million + deaths; socialism is the ultimate historical societal solution. Harvard economists are identified as our enemy as a free society!
So, now that the economy is good I had my millennial friend tell me it’s because the US is sucking up all the resources of the planet into a gigantic bubble.
Their thinking isn’t founded on ignorance nor a lack of reality. It’s based upon an evil, elitist monarchical idea that certain bloodlines are rightful heirs by guil or conquest to the reigns of humanity and that subsequent to culling 90% of the global population they would have a “reset” on a new age of exploration, conquest and depravity to wallow in.
There are radically wealthy people within and without this group that actually set up trusts with the notion that they will be able to utilize the trust assets in their next incarnation. It matters not whether we believe the same, or whether it’s reality. They have the wealth and power to exercise their will as if it is true and that that makes them a horrific blight and enemy.
