Luther turned the papacy on its head in 1517.

Aside: With the Christmas season fast approaching, there is a way to use “theologically correct” shorthand and not leaving “Christ out of Christmas”.

Shorten the word CHRISTMAS to ‘XPmass’, using the XP to indicate Christ. In the tradition of the 1st century XPians that used a “fish emoji” to signal a meeting.

There is a common misconception that the word Xmas stems from a secular attempt to remove the religious tradition from Christmas[3] by taking the “Christ” out of “Christmas”, but its use dates back to the 16th century.
