He’s saying that a lot of things we are watching happen on the news are part of a much bigger story than how they appear. Then he tells us to remember the NYC bomber, the guy whose bomb blew up in his pants without hurting anyone as part of a FF operation. I don’t know what the fireworks refers to, but someone elsewhere said that the bomber had his bomb switched with less harmful fireworks, which was why the op didn’t go off as planned.
