Is there anything that prevents an active duty member of the military from serving in Congress? Yes, active duty. Can't happen, can't run. Have to be retired, out or in a non-active Reserve status.

Since guardsmen and reservists are citizens first, soldiers second they are able to keep their civilian jobs and serve when on orders. There are many elected officials that serve in the guard and reserve. LG could serve in the senate and also perform guard duties when on orders.
In any conflicts LG would not attend a vote or recuse from JAG duties as appropriate.

reservists and guardsmen are still subject to command structure and the UCMJ. As many have realized to their chagrin.

Yes I know, that’s why I said Reservists in ‘retired, out or Reserve’.

Reasonable connection in thoughts. However, the seed vault is much MORE remote and much less showing on the surface with most of it very buried in a very cold land/island.

I never believe anything Larry Nichols said. I used to ... back in 199x, but not since then - he had insight to the Clintons but no access to Trump. However he might likely well have insight to Judge K legacy (though not much current) from OIC days.
I always ponder - as somebody noted above, the problem with RR always is that *everything* goes through him, particularly F-I. He picked Wray ... we’re told TRUST WRAY. It’s hard to see how we can TRUST ]SESSIONS[ and TRUST WRAY with RR - as blackest of black hat - inbetween.
We will (should) know in about 72 hours now!

However, she's welcome to become a crispy critter whenever she chooses. ... or whenever the military tribunal jury & judge declare it to be done.

Could just be related to the times. When on the roads it seems people are driving faster and more aggressively than ever in my lifetime. Everyone is in a hurry and their time and appointments are more important than any one else’s.
When we hurry, we make mistakes sometimes harming ourselves or others. I pray that our nation will heal, stop to smell the roses, celebrate the things that make us unique while building upon the things we have in common. When we become a melting pot nation again we will celebrate the things that Make America Great Again!

wow - that's the first time I've looked at that though I understood the basic concept.
If reservists are under a call or given an order to active day for more than 270 days, they cannot run for office, unless the secretary of their military branch grants them permission. Reservists must obtain permission before their active duty begins. If permission is not granted, then the reservist must withdraw his candidacy immediately. If reservists are under a call or given an order to active day for 270 days or less, they may continue running for office, as long as their candidacy does not interfere with their military duties.
That seems to apply in some of these cases - it involves RUNNING for office ... these would be people who have resigned but finishing out the year.
