Very few. My grandfather was. German Army. My friend William Roth was. Paratrooper, survived Leningrad. Also knew a German U-boat commander. Amazing people you find at German clubs in Pennsylvania. They’ve all since passed.

Yes very few. Some nazis were worse then others. My grandfather fought in ww1, he came over in the 1880s. Passed down I heard stories of him finding a cousin on that battlefield dead. One he might have had a hand in. War is hell.

Forgot to mention that my grandfather sired six sons who fought in ww2. 3 in Europe 3 in Asia.

In a little town in Alabama - Aliceville - there was a German POW camp. I believe it housed Rommel's troops captured in North Africa. There's a small museum there now, really worth seeing if you happen to be in the area. (smile) But some German families have visited. There is a book about this - Guests across the Barbed Wire? I think is the title.
