I am aware that it is a committee hearing, which is why I used the term “rule of law.” By “rule of law” I meant that the Constitution provides for a Senate and the Senate has rules for its various committees. If the committee is faced with a difficult issue or an issue for which there is no pre-existing rule, then I believe that common law practices can be viewed as applicable, at least in preference to the ad-hoc procedures that are being proposed by the Democrats.
I’m just noting that “rule of law” is only applicable to “courts” of law. Meaning:
We should not be surprised if the communists twist rule and meaning.
