Thanks! You know I'm always up for a musical slide! Lucky you regarding the Dave Mason story. I do like his rendition of “Watchtower”. Did you ever watch “Battlestar Galactica”, the newest one? Where Starbuck was a female? I loved that show. In the last episode, and maybe a few before that, the music was soooo familiar, it drove me crazy! Once I figured out it was a version of “All along the watchtower” I was so psyched!

My sister’s theater directorship has afforded me a couple of other personal encounters with musical greats. Got to hang out with Alan Parsons a little bit who is a very nice chap (as expected).

The best for me was being sent to fetch a drummer from the hotel quite early so that he could tune up before the other band members got there. Being a lover of jazz-fusion for about four decades...well, I just about wet my pants when I realized who was piling into the passenger seat of the SUV. Verklempt I was.
