Why better off with a compound bow?

Well he got shoulder problems. So shotgun is better. Typically a compound bow is quicker to load.

Good question. A compound bow is hard to pull. Sure, once you’ve drawn about halfway back, it gets much easier, but that first half draw...that’s a killer. I don’t really have any shoulder problems, and certainly didn’t 15-20 years ago...and I declined hubby’s offer to get me a compound becase it was so hard to draw. he he, I got a 12 gauge instead!

Much higher rate of fire from the bow. Crossbows are extremely slow to cock and fire. Our current archers are much slower than the archers of the middle ages.
