I always admired DVDyke from his role in the DVD show and Mary Poppins. Then I watched a one-man show of his where he put on display his true character. Based on that I now see him as an evil old man. His language was beyond atrocious.

Dick van Dyke is definitely NOT like his "aw, gosh golly gee whiz" on screen persona. He pretty much personified the wholesome, traditional, early 1960s nuclear family dad.

In real life the guy is a foul mouthed, raving left-wing loon. Even in his 90s he headlined a bunch of Bernie Sanders rallies because he thought Hillary was too-right wing.

Gregory Peck and Andy Griffith were likewise deranged leftist a-holes in real-life.
