:-) Agree.
Not related to your post, but something that I’ve been thinking about.....
POTUS has been giving speeches and telling us about the great economy and the low unemployment rates. OUTSTANDING. But at least once he has mentioned (iirc) that although unemployment rates for women are low, they are not at an all time low, that he could do better.
So I was thinking that perhaps this is not the goal. Maybe there are women who are choosing to stay home with the kids because the economy has improved enough that their husbands can now support the family on a single paycheck.
Just a thought.
Now there's some disagreement in the news:
US senator claims Britain's MI6 is planning a fake chemical weapons attack on Syria
Meanwhile, the WSJ has a lede that says Syria is planning a gas attack on its citizens.
I’ve been out of the workforce for a decade. Obama killed any incentives in me...we just plodded on with one income and luck. I was active in politics then began homeschooling. I’m sure there are quite a few like me out there.
Women who choose to stay home would not be counted in unemployment statistics. The main measure only tracks unemployment among those who are seeking work. There is another measure for those who have been discouraged and are no longer actively seeking work, that is a better measure of true unemployment. It's around 7 percent right now, was like 20 percent under Obama. Homemakers would not be in any of those stats.
