Herman Sasse (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermann_Sasse) was a theologian in the Australian Lutheran Church (ALC) and considered to be one of the progenitors of the post-modern confessional Lutheran movement. His influence in the modernist confessional Lutheran church (AKA, post-post-modern) is well established. His publications (The Lonely Way; We Confess) are considered primary sermon “directives” (helps) within the Lutheran confessional movement.
