Team Ziva?

Thanks. Wouldn’t it be funny if this MOS = Mossad, that has seemingly traveled around the world, was wrong?

A lot of people would have egg on their face.

And, more importantly, the meaning of many Q drops would have to be reinterpreted.

Someone had an alternative meaning for MOS. I can’t remember what it was, though.

Team Ziva: Ziva David was a character on NCIS. She was a liaison between NCIS and the Mossad. I have a t-shirt that says Team Ziva on the front, and Ziva’s rules on the back. She doesn't have as many rules as Gibbs. Her first rule is: “If it bothers you, shoot it”. Hubby always said except for the blonde hair and European looks, I'd make an excellent Ziva.

Thinking about the show, though, there were a few times when the Mossad was at odds with the US, but not in a big way.

Early Bird, you sent me on a shallow dive - there actually ARE some alternative meanings for “MOS.” However, I’m not sure how strongly plausible they might be in the Q drop contexts. The first one seems to me to be the strongest, but still not seeing how it might really apply.

My search was not exhaustive, so there may still be some out there with a better fit.

Q. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_military_occupation_code

“A United States military occupation code, or a military occupational specialty code (MOS code), is a nine-character code used in the United States Army and United States Marines to identify a specific job…”
AND
“…. Since an individual can obtain multiple job specialties, a duty military occupational specialty (DMOS) is used to identify what their primary job function is at any given time. An individual must complete and pass all required training for their military occupational specialty qualification (MOSQ).

[How bout that? MOS with Q!? LOL!]

MICROSOFT OFFICE SPECIALISTS - “find out how MOS certification can help you demonstrate your technical skills and further your career…”
