Fortunately for me, at least in this regard, is that I live in New York City, home of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, with their spectacular ancient Egypt collection.

We spent a couple weeks going all over the country before Mubarak was overthrown. The place is breath taking. It was definitely worth the risk at that time.
