All that nice pat dynasty dating is based on the Kings List and the Palermo Stone. The Kings List was purchased in a bazaar and is known to be fake, yet it is still used to date which Pharaoh came before or after whom. Only the Palermo Stone is authentic, however the first kings listed on the Stone are unknown, and some later known Kings are not mentioned.
Worse (when using this method of dating) is that all the Pharaohs had more than one name and many had the same name depending what was fashionable at the moment. Many of the Kings on the Palermo Stone are unknown.
Bio-thermoluminescence dating of the youngest Pyramid at Giza is hundreds of years older then the Pyramid of Zoser (Djoser) (Bio-thermoluminescence dating is now illegal in Egypt or if it is legal then it can only be done in Egypt (which does not have the very expensive equipment nor expertise to do the tests).
It was common practice for one king to tear down a previous king’s works and re-purpose the stone. Just like it was common for a past king to fall out of favor and not be mentioned by a later King, even to deliberately erasing the name (cartouche) off a monument.
All of the Pre-Dynastic (or Archaic) and the Old Kingdom dates are in flux and are not to be trusted as one thing does not lead to another (except in modern consensus think).
