There was a South Park episode years ago that posited that all of the Popes have actually been rabbits, including the first pope, St. Peter (RABBIT) the Great. The reason for the mitre is so the bunny ears can fit up inside. Funny huh. But earlier I read something about the popes and rabbits. Can’t remember now.
