A number of witnesses against Tokyo Rose later indicated that they had lied in their testimony. She fed nearby American prisoners with her meager earnings from the TR gig.
She was a master at using American slang double entendre in her broadcasts that the Japanese did not understand. Many American troops thought she was on our side.
