Here are two thoughts as to why.
"30 has been traditionally used by journalists to indicate the end of a story. There are many theories about how the usage came into being,[1]e.g. from that number's use in the 92 Code of telegraphic shorthand to signify the end of a transmission in the American Civil War era.[2] In another theory, the "-30-" originated when stories were written in longhand; X marked the end of a sentence, XX the end of a paragraph, and XXX meant the end of a story. The Roman numerals XXX translate to 30."

That was sort of weird.
Good deal!
You, know? That could totally work.
Now "THINK" Flynn. The word "Think" ties the Flynn lines to the above lines. Like, "blah blah blah....think Flynn."
As in the "McCain checking out situation (end of story)" is like the "Flynn situation" in some way. Exactly like it?
The end [30] of McCain is exactly like the Flynn situation?
Is that the comms?
Now that I type it out, I kinda like that one.

That’s it! ;)
This thread is sharp as a tack tonight!
I think things like [30] have multiple meanings. In this + these cases (no name + flynn) it’s 30 days + done / taken care of
IMO ;)
