Old film of fair scenes at Palisades Amusement Park in New Jersey, USA on May 14, 1932. These scenes were taken with early Movietone sound cameras. This kind of setting is frequently depicted in Hollywood movies but it's rare to see it for real!

Really cool!! Thanks for posting.
Men and young men/boys wearing suits and ties, women/young ladies wearing dresses and scarves.
And, no neck support, on the roller coaster. That one young man certainly enjoyed holding on to the young lady, on the coaster!
Excellent quality footage!!

That’s the first thing I noticed.
We’ve turned into barbarians with smartphones.
That was fun for me-—and I was born 4 months later.
.
Thought you might enjoy this footage!
Used to go there with my paper route money (all $12) and have the time of my life.
Thanks, I enjoyed those.
You are doing amazingly well for your age.
I hope I make it there.
Keep up your health!
How did he make the girl disappear?
Thanks, that was moving. Just normal people on film, eating sandwiches and waffle cones. No script, other than the show barker and magician. Soothing in a way somehow.
Notice the younger boys wearing “knickers”???
I miss America that I never saw in person. I am not happy with what is now America.
Notice how interested quite a few were in the camera....
They would just stand and stare at it...
This is a great YT account.
I particularly like the really old films which are slowed down so the speed is more natural and sound is added. You get a strange surreal feeling watching them - as if it feels more real.
It’s hard to appreciate sometimes that every person in a vintage film or photo was a living, breathing person. As real as you are.
That sounds obvious, and you already know it intellectually, but sometimes the strange, sped-up quality of really old pre-1920 films (or old photos) gives you a weird sense of distance or unreality.

Different world.
Late ‘50’s and early to mid ‘60’s were great times...
They will never return...
(BTW...I really liked your homepage)
Will watch later.
