Since you asked, “where do ^you^ think ‘his own place’ is?, I’ll respond with my thoughts which are not God’s thoughts.
One definition of Hell is a “place” without God. I cannot fathom that place. God just “isn’t” when he tells us “I AM!”. A place where it is only that person or YOU or ME, no one else, nothing. Utter darkness, no sense of anything else. NO THING.
Now, to darken it more, consider that one exists in this place in the flesh. Touch and count your toes kind of flesh. There is a self-awareness of existence but a sense of nothing else. I shudder in the contemplation.

IMO, Judas is in that place, all by himself, god of _no thing_ with the realization that he isn’t even god of himself.
