I just discovered this song a few months ago and I'm obsessed with it. Enjoy!
Sorry, title fail.
The song is “Child in Time” by Deep Purple.
if by strange you mean awesome- then yes, you are correct :)
I bet they were:)
I would like to have a time machine to go back then and experience those times.
I read on another video that the video I posted was from December 1, 1970, which was exactly one week before I was born:)
I recently downloaded Deep Purple’s “Made in Japan”. WOW!!
I missed everything, sigh. What an incredibly talented group.
Plus, not only was Ian Gillan an incredible singer, he was HOT!!!
Kinda reminds me of Pink Floyd’s “Be Careful With That Axe, Eugene.” Same kind of meaningless screeching to a repetitive beat.
Well, that’s different:)
l must admit that it’s kind of catchy.
I’ve never seen this before. The video is incredible. I wonder where all those people are today, what they’ve made of their lives. Thanks.
Yeah that’s a good song. Spent many a keg party jamming out to DP back then. Thanks, that really brings back memories.
Things that can never be unseen need a warning. There is some weird stuff out there.
Glad you enjoyed it!
From what I understand, the video was shot in Hamburg, Germany.
...”Those were strange times”....
Yes, every song appeared to want to send a counterculture message in one form or another with the Timothy Liery drum beating like a piped piper over drug induced zombies.
You’re welcome.
I’m envious that you were around for their glory days.
That version of “Smoke on the Water.” Absolutely amazing.
Whenever I listen I crank up the volume and make sure the fire extinguisher is placed next to the subwoofer :-)
Drives my wife nuts.
My daughter just turned 30 and tells me all the time we had the best music. She just scored tickets to see Dylan and is on Cloud 9. We did have the best music and it’s still out there.
What part of Europe was that filmed in?
Nothing can replace the experience of watching the record spin on the turntable.
I was 23 but wasn’t into this.
Everyone was much thinner. Before high fructose corn syrup.
