I looks like the ordinary harness I used when walking my dogs-especially my Siberian Husky-like any dog, big strong dogs can try to take off after a squirrel or rabbit-or a neighbor’s wandering cat-on one of the trails in the woods-that harness helps to bring them back to heel with less effort-never walked any of my doggies without a harness...
The “restraining device” is a martingale collar, a type of “limited choke collar” that can only close to a certain point.
Used mostly on Sighthounds and other dogs whose owners want to inflict no damage to the dog’s delicate neck structure.

I made this just for you!" Mom wanted me to wear a rainbow so that I'd never be seen as a red collar dog again. Thank you Leah.
I will wear it with pride! (I have to wear my DogTown collar for 2 more weeks, but then I'll post pictures in my new styling threads!)
I see a harness which is considered more humane than a collar but I also see the rainbow thing. Just decoration I think.
