According to Executive Success Programs’ website, Salinas was a member of ESP’s Executive Board since 2009 and co-owned ESP centers in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Los Angeles.
One of my internal thought processes before starting to focus on NXIVM was: Is this connected with the counter-coup? Are the white-hats doing this as part of a larger mission to stop the black hats from taking down Trump, or is this just a "normal" law enforcement issue, that happens to have a few B list celebs involved in it?
I can't say for sure, but in the end I decided, based in large part on Q's focus on human trafficking since some of his earliest drops, that it was worth assuming the connection, while continuing to look for hard evidence as the case progressed.
The indictment of Bronfman, who has strong family ties to high-ranking Dems, including the Clintons was one piece of evidence suggesting an eventual tight connection may be shown.
The involvement of the adult son of a former President of Mexico was another, and as that part of the story is developing it's even more intriguing.

Jack: I think this is tangentially related to the counter-Qoup. I’m of the opinion that, when this all washes out, we will find that both the NXIVM and pedo actions were the desire of Melania.
Being an ex-model from an Eastern bloc country, I’m sure she saw these things as she “made her chops in the bizz.” Likely was told to either participate or keep silent (ref: recent posts here). Then she married a man who could afford the best security service in existence.
I can TOTALLY see her promising that, given the right circumstances, she would eradicate the world of this scourge. This is also why I consider FLOTUS to be a part/aware of Q and in consistent conversation with The Silent Assassin.
