Yes they did, although if you look into the burning of the capitol and white house in the war of 1812 it was the Canadian troops who actually burned the town. Up there they had their own issues of French vs British colonists so I have yet to find out which “Corps” of the combined forces did the actual deed, I look to who was on our side in that conflict and against the opposition aligned forces as the ones most likely to have done it i.e. British troops who wanted to prevent inclusion of the French component of Canada into the Unite States

IIRC they weren’t Canadians at all. They were Hessian mercenaries hired by the British.
