King asked the doorman to put the woman on the phone, who knew the names of his children. Upon speaking to her, King was notified that she worked for New York Child Services and that someone alleged that King and his wife “abandoned [their] children and allowed them to do drugs.”
He said he spoke to a supervisor who told him that the report was filed by an anonymous person. King declined to have anyone from ACS meet with his kids, he wrote.

I DESPISE this piece of garbage, but if someone intentionally LIED and sent child services to his home, then I hate that person even more.

I’m 48-48-4 on whether there was a bogus claim made against him, whether he made up the bogus claim (for unknown reasons), or whether there is actually something wrong in his family. Anonymous tips to CPS in NYS are the epitome of “gotcha-ism”.
Yes, one tip is enough, depending on the mood of the CPS folks that morning.
I agree with you - but also consider he could be making the phone call up for some unknown reason - he has been known to prevaricate more than once.
In Texas, any random, anonymous tipster, can turn you in to CPS, and cause you and your family untold amounts of grief.
I know, because it happened to me.
