OTOH, RM is not a secret agent. ..... as far as I know. So he would be an unlikely tail.
Maybe they were going somewhere together? jr has priority boarding! After all, they’re at the same gate. If they are working together, that is GOOD for my theory!

gate 35X is a general purpose gate. It has three outlets “downstairs” and at any given moment, about 20 flights are on the “flight status” board associated with Gate 35X.
FWIW, I met and chatted with Newt Gingrich at Gate 35x. At the time his hat was in the primary ring, and he was making campaign appearance runs.
