Which is why they are backtracking on multiplayer in their other games and now trying to explain how Fallout 76 can still be eventually played as single player if you want a private server and only interact with monsters and animals in the game since there are no human NPCs.
My bet is that Fallout 76 is a bomb.
I have only played a racing game in a multiplayer setting.
All others are solo.
There is still an audience. Look at PUBG, Fortnite, Planetside, etc., and a good chunk of the fantasy MMO PVP crowd. It’ll likely bomb for classic Fallout folks, but may succeed with a different group of players.
Fallout 76 can still be played by yourself. Theyve made that quite clear- its basically a fallout 4 co-op/multi expansion. Theyre giving to people what they have wanted forever and that is to play Fo4 with their friends. The building of bases/community stuff it will all still be there from what I read.
I agree with you, I do not like the multi-player games because I take my time in playing and only have a session once or twice a week. Multi-player would have me playing constantly to keep up with me ‘group’ and I won’t do that.
So because of that I won’t be buying or playing Fallout 76.
I like cooperative modes. You can have family and friends joined in missions, building, surviving.Like Subsistence where my daughter and I enjoy its cooperative aspect.I agree about multiplayer mayhem as it’s not my cup of tea either.Running around shooting everyone is not fun in my gaming world.
