Inter-League play has taken all of the fun out of the All-Star Game.
But they didnt count in the standings, were only modestly popular even in the fifties. As for now, they would do well to can the inter league crap and for that matter return to the eternal rivalries.
I agree. I have relatives who are huge AL fans and I am always forever NL. Inter-league play has watered things down. Some would love for the DH to come to the NL and that would kill the game further as the stupid home plate and second base pansy slide rules.
Maybe so...............
I don't like inter-league play at all. There are enough teams in both leagues without crossing them over. It took some time for me to get used to AL teams after the Astros were forcibly moved to the AL after decades in the NL. Now I am used to it and do not like it when the Astros play NL teams during the regular season.
