Roger Perry, the veteran character actor who guest-starred on a memorable episode of the original Star Trek and portrayed Eastland headmaster Charles Parker on The Facts of Life, has died. He was 85.
Perry died Thursday night at his home in Indian Wells, California, after a battle with prostate cancer, his daughter, Dana Perry McNerney, told The Hollywood Reporter.

I had an idea a long time ago for a coffee table book called “Characters” about great character actors. Each two pages would be pics from movies and TV roles on one side, and a bio on the other.
I remember in, I think 1964, when one of the prettiest girls in school showed up wearing a mini skirt. It really was short.
The principal immediately sent her home.

I kept looking at the pictures she looked familiar but I knew the hair was wrong. Kept thinking Debbie Reynold but she was already a star by then. It was a strawberry blond though wasn’t it? I just remember this actress from her sitcom with a young Valerie Bertonelli. Right or wrong?
Well she did accomplish one thing in the short time she was at school that day. She was the topic of conversation for weeks.
