Copying a comment I made today, perfect for replying to your excellent comments:

What makes all the difference in the world is if a person thirsts after Truth more than anything else. If a person thirsts more after being “right” - iow, they want to be a know-it-all - if someone is more invested in “I know and you don’t” than they are in knowing the Truth, then they will not see Truth no matter how plain and clear it is.

One has to be willing to jettison fondly held beliefs and positions if proven wrong, and be willing to admit that “Wow, I was wrong”.

It’s a much better way to live. The only way to really live. It’s a great freedom.

Thank you for the gracious words, little jeremiah. I appreciate the points you make about letting go of the idea of “being right” as opposed to “tell me the Truth.”
