No, AB did not say he was a pilot. He was a passenger. Again, read what he wrote.
He said he was looking out of a window of the plane. You're mistaking his "I flew into..." as meaning he was a pilot when he never said he was.

Also, if the sun moves away from us, why does it not get smaller? If anything, it and the moon appear bigger on the horizon than when overhead.

Guidance. The HVP is claimed to be guided but that’s true only in a limited sense. The guidance is GPS and is applicable only against fixed, land targets with known GPS coordinates. Useful guidance is not possible against moving land targets or aerial targets due to the extreme speed of the projectile.
