The new lawyer they are talking about is Andrew Weissmann, who is a major player in Mueller’s investigation. IIRC, he was involved in recommending the middle-of-the-night raids on Manafort’s home. He’s reputedly an unethical convict at all costs bastard who readily bends the rules.
Two questions:
1) Why is he jumping from Mueller’s team? Does that mean Mueller’s gig is winding down?
2) Why would the DOJ, under Sessions (at least in name) and ultimately, Trump, hire such a man, especially after the last year and a half?
