If this is Shanghai, then I’m assuming it’s not connected to the JetBlue flight? Because the JetBlue flight was from JFK to SFO.
Or was it continuing on to China?

I wondered about that myself. But the location of the pic with all the storage tanks is now verified.
For the last day or two, I’ve been seeing a banner at the top of some webpages (notably FR & 8ch, but also a few others) saying something like “This page is using considerable energy. Closing it may improve the performance of your Mac”.
Something sinister going on? Like somebody scraping info from my computer? Not too surprising on 8ch. If it were NOT on FR, I might think that it could be something less nefarious, like a video loading or a large image loading or a benign script running. But FR is AFAIK a super simple page to serve and shouldn’t be consuming resources.
