Glad to hear you had as good a success as we had! We did catch one more after I posted, and that seemed to be the last of the locals for us, too. Were you as surprised as we were at how many the trap caught? It’s too late to replant some veggies with the heat coming on but we’re going to try to push new eggplant, cukes, zucchini and pepper starts since they can go into the late summer. And, we know better now what fencing we need to be using and where all the pest damage was really coming from, so that’s going to make gardening a lot less stressful.
I wasn’t that surprised at the number we caught - been watching them scurry up/down the fence, raiding the apple trees, scoping out the veggie garden ..... Our acreage is surrounded by woods so more squirrels will be moving in to replace the trapped ones before too long, I’m sure.
