Nowadays there are meds (anti-depressant) I understand that have side effects such as homicidal or suicidal thoughts.
My experience with being drunk or intoxicated is that the mind can run wild as well.
Sober now but my life experiences do include such notions in the past.
I can’t jump to conclusions but my suspicions involve drugs, legal or illegal, having a role to play in these tragedies.

That is true with other drugs also-——the stop-smoking drug,Chantix,says depression or suicidal thoughts could be a side-effect.
