probably sad Spanglish as you say, but the l-e shows French exposure.
“Viva” is Spanish,
“Le Resistance” is French
Spanish: !Viva! la resitencia.
French: Vive le resistance!
So resistance is feminine in French and masculine in Spanish. That mistake could get a fella kilt under the wrong circumstances.
