RIP. I hope she fell down and was unconscious or something. But I don’t think most people realize just how hard they squeeze, if I recall they can break bones, squeeze shut the heart valves and give brain embolisms. So maybe it would be fast.

Moon thinks that these large snakes aren’t deliberately breaking the backs of their prey – it’s just a fortuitous side effect of their size and the mass of muscle they use in the squeeze. The cerebral aneurysms are probably what they’re really after.”
They probably want the prey dead as fast as possible so they don’t get injured. I read one theory is that snakes might squeeze mammals so much longer than they need to because it is leftover from when all prey had reptile and amphibian nervous systems.
