Necessity should inspire a sense of urgency in people. It seems almost epidemic that you see the opposite response.
I know, right? And share your room. Four people splitting the rent of a 2 bedroom apartment is quite affordable.

Our 22 year old son is sharing a house with 3 other people his age. Thats pretty much exactly what I did at that point in my life.

My brother was an investment banker in NYC back in the 80’s. He made really good money by any standard and had to share an apartment with two room mates. You don’t get your own place on minimum wage. If all you can do is a minimum wage job, then perhaps you should not be procreating and living unsupervised
I had a roommate for several years after college.
Here’s a plan:
1. Get a roommate
2. Improve your skills and get a higher paying job
