Yeah I don’t hold out a lot of hope for anything coming out of the hearings.

If it was going to get serious they wouldn’t be public. All I can base that on is gut feeling but that’s what I think right now.

I believe everyone knows who wrote the summary and conclusions and I would like to think it would be brought up but I doubt it is given much time.

I could be wrong and hope I am.

Take heart. I’m of the opinion that POTUS already has the material. That’s why he tweeted what he did in early June. Remember? He wondered why it was taking so long to get the initial report out. He stated his hope that it wasn’t being altered, and he noted how important public transparency is.

I think he offered the leadership of the FBI enough rope to hang themselves. And they did.

It's an incremental game.

Big breaks are rare. Remember Comey admitting he leaked, to Collins of all people? That's the scale of "maximum revelation" in a hearing.

Another point is that the evidence of malfeasance, conspiracy, whatever you want to call it, that evidence is going to be almost entirely circumstantial, not direct. It's the nature of the crime that direct evidence just isn't created in the first place.

I think lots of good stuff is going to come out of the hearing on Tuesday, and this is an opening shot. From a distance. Forces haven't really made contact yet - not in a way the public can see.
