One thing I’ve observed in my 6.7 decades on this planet is that whenever—whenever—somebody says that something is “just” something or other—just a book, just a movie, just a song—it is most definitely not “just” that.
I understand why my civil posts have driven you to mouth-frothing, hysterical, caps lock personal insult. If you saw DOCTOR STRANGELOVE when it first came out, perhaps you weren't old enough and/or educated enough to really understand it. Sadly, it seems that as the people who didn't hear the beginning of Orson Welles' radio drama, WAR OF THE WORLDS, who therefore truly believed that N.J. was being invaded by space aliens,you and your friends took DOCTOR STRANGELOVE to be a warning a la 1984, or a documentary; an opinion you still avidly cling to.
