Although I started out as a math-and-science nerd replete with awards in both, I have never sweated over these things for two reasons:

One, I consider the paramount principle to be that the Model is not the Real. I consider all models thus either more or less accurate relatively (no pun intended), not absolutely true or false. Neither Relativity nor QM is equatable with Reality. Neither Bohr nor SPDF are disqualified from being models.

If I have a 1/72 P-51, then a 1/48 one, the greater accuracy of the latter does not invalidate the former. It is not that one retains its “modelness” while the other loses it. Further, neither one is the same as a real P-51; there are always characteristics and properties missing (like flying with a Homo sapiens at the stick).

Two, I am a Christian who has been in ministry. I think the Creator knows what He is doing, whether we do or not. It is interesting and beneficial to contemplate, but not existentially exigent.

That is what lies at the root of my suspicions. That there is no one, single 'answer' to what reality is. For one thing, there is no one, over-riding vantage point or perspective to make any such determinations. For example, reality would appear different at different size scales (our everyday realm vs the quantum realm or the grand, cosmological scale/realm). It would be like our sense of the world vs that of the tiniest microbe, only far more extreme. When you enter in the possibility of multiple universes and multiple dimensions it gets even more absurd.
