Vet said we could "manage his pain" through the kidney failure and I said "no, I don't want him to suffer."
He's been with me through so much change in my life these last few years. He's been my one constant, and now he's gone. I've only got one thing left to lose and one last change to go through at this point and I'm thinking hey, let's get that over with too.....
But you will. What works for me is to imagine on a regular basis playing and interacting as we always did.
You indicated you are confidant you and Teddy will be together again and, IMO, there is a good chance Teddy is even now with you.
My heart goes out to you, FRiend. Been there, and am seeing it again in a few years...Penny is 8, and for a big dog, that’s late middle age soon to be senior.
