After a record-breaking Season 12, summer phenomenon "America's Got Talent" is back on Tuesday, May 29 with Creator and Judge Simon Cowell returning alongside Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel.
Supermodel, entrepreneur and business CEO Tyra Banks joined the team last summer as host and melded effortlessly with the judges, bringing her unmistakable personal flair and verve to the show.

Just goes to show you- everybody likes something different! My family and I also love AGT (it’s become the one show we all have to watch together). We all think Tyra is a huge improvement- my daughter just adores her.

Agree. I love Tyra in other contexts, but she was often tongue-tied and stammering on AGT. Nick was so much fun to watch interacting with the performers.
He got fired because he was doing stand-up in some entirely other context like a comedy club, and he used the n-word.
This is going to be so fun! My family watches every year, and my oldest son and I have been in many audiences, which was also fun. I will be commenting on the thread as I read along it, three hours later at PST when it airs! Any other west coasters can watch with me and I will bring snacks. Unless there is one of those gross swallowing and puking up objects acts....

The one judge I can’t stand is Heidi Klum. She is too dumb to be given a driver’s license. But she is so dumb as to be sort of funny.
I don’t mind Heidi too much (her being easy on the eyes does not hurt). I think the whole cast has pretty good chemistry. Love Howie Mandel. Always have.

I thought Nick Cannon was so funny too. Tyra is ok, but she’s no Nick, that’s for sure.
But I have to confess that his black lives matter video and poem gave me pause in a few spots. Things like:
But there ain’t no such thing as black on black violence
It’s crime against you and me!
Intolerance of people
So it’s like when I say save the whales
That don’t mean the other fish can’t float
It just means that the whales are endangered
Just like my species
There are certainly things I agree with him about, and he stated he wasn’t voting for Clinton or Trump, so I’m guessing Sanders got his vote.
But who is endangering his species more, the very few cops out there, some of which are just doing their jobs, or the black on black violent criminal taking of lives?
Having said that, to his credit, he never tried to politicize the show and I always looked forward to his comments, facial expressions and often involvement in and with the acts.
Hi Vinnie, I agree with 100%. Loved Darcie and rooted for her immediately.
Hated Vanderwahl’s voice. I found it terribly grating and annoying.
We watch most of the time. There was one year we didn’t and I don’t recall why not.
There have been a lot of excellent singers over the years. Wish I could remember all their names. I’m not too much into the huge group dance numbers. I enjoy the magicians, but not so much the people changing clothes fast.
There are some that I can’t believe actually think they are good and seem genuinely disappointed to not get a yes. Then there are those that are clearly just trying to get their 15 minutes of fame. The show is good fun for the whole family, most of the time. :)

I don’t care for her either. She often tries to strong arm other judges to vote like her. I am however glad to they got rid of Sharon Osborn, I really couldn’t stand her. I kind of they would bring that David Walliams from Britain’s Got Talent over to co judge. I find him funny.
Which brings me to something else, Yaelle. You have been watching BGT, do you find that Simon appears a bit under dressed and his facial expressions sometimes seem weird. Lack of sleep for him? I’m waiting to see if he dresses better on AGT. I’ve seen him on so many shows and he just looks so blah this time around on BGT. imo
