It’s occurring to me that this might be another play by Trump. If he just fires RR, then Congress probably has enough votes to start impeachment proceedings. If Congress gets aggressive about wanting documents from RR that Trump believes they should have and RR won’t give them up, then if Trump fires RR he’s undercut the arguments of Congress against the firing.
He’s not going to fire him just yet.
I think he’s going to issue an order declassifying the documents that Congress wants...or some of them want I should say. Then he’ll order them turned over to Congress in full. That’s his checkmate. After DOJ and the rabid Left are shown openly wanting to keep the public and Congress in the dark - wanting to be totalitarians - all restrictions on his actions against the DOJ and FBI are off.
