My family never even mentioned Memorial Day. They were ... ultra liberal to the maximum. My father almost went to Normandy for D-Day but was held back to do office work since he could type. He never, ever talked about his experiences in France and Germany. I wish I had asked him. He was a very difficult man.

Now my heart cries for those who have lost loved ones, those who suffered crippling injuries, and those who lost their lives protecting our country. Whether in so-called “good” wars or “bad”, they did their duty.

I totally disagree with this analysis.

Rush is fantastic, a deep thinker, and one of President Trump’s greatest assets.

I think he recognized Trump’s power as a candidate earlier than most, because he identified with his genius as a showman.

Rush’s rhetorical technique is a little less direct that some, which is a strength. He tries to show what both sides are thinking.

If a person wants plain vanilla analysis all the time, they should stick with Hannity or Lou Dobbs (Both are white hats too).

I could not disagree more. He was born in Canada to a foreigner father, two strikes against Natural Born Citizenship right there. What kind of opinion would he give on determining persidential eligibility and Natural Born Citizenship if a case came before SCOTUS? Plus he fudged/lied about being a DUAL citizen for most of his life.

Cruz for SCOTUS?

Oh, I agree about Ted Cruz. I love him as our Senator. In his weekly emails he has expressed agreement that members of Congress should have term limits. He even introduced a bill to that effect which was ignorred. If he lives by that decision and decides not to run after his next term my opinion is he should get the next available SCOTUS opening.

He is not Constitutionally eligible to be President. The fact that he ran, while being the Constitutional scholar that he is bothers me. And yet I still love him as Senator or SCOTUS for which he is legally eligible. I would even love him as Governor when Abbott steps down.

Rush capitulated several times over the years. I started listening to him when he was local in Sacramento. He was firy at that time. Gradually over the years he “mellowed” - not many years, either. I gave up on him years ago.

He touches enough conservative issues to get people to continue listening, but swaths of useless verbiage, along with dancing delicately around REAL topics, and ignoring topics that are too “controversial”, makes him boring and non-informative.

On the contrary, Rush is on our side. He sees things from a perspective many of us do not. He has a wide array of associations and he is an observer of people and situations. If we only associate with like minded people or interact like here on FR we will have a skewed viewpoint. It happens to me even now when I see a friend or family member post something ridiculous on Facebook or quote a media person who is WRONG. I am taken aback but just temporarily. It helps to hear Rush explain how the establishment country club Republicans are embarrassed by pro life issues for instance. Otherwise why would they not go full throttle to end abortion? I respectfully disagree with you that Rush is not on our side. He is in a different genre than any of us. Too valuable at what he does. Someone even said he was all in for Rubio. I listen every day if possible and I do not remember that. If he said something like Rubio is full conservative it may have been in wonder at why Rubio would choose a position when we are told he is full conservative. Anyway, my opinion is such and I enjoy Rush’s nuance on the one hand and sarcasm on the other while I know others may not.

Yes indeed. That is fabulous news. SA’s support and respect for PDJT is a Yuge matter in ME politics.

In reality I never expected SA and Israel to be allied in my lifetime. That in itself is a knife in the back to the DS cabal. The fact that SA is imposing an embargo of sorts on those German companies is a big boom message the all the EU mini-states. The EU has devolved into a mockery and with President Trump’s success they know they’re government is draining into irrelevance worldwide.

I think this is a distinct possibility.

GHWB negotiated the execrable WTO and NAFTA Treaties, but could never have gotten them ratified through RAT-controlled Senate.

That is why, IMO, Clinton had to win ... so the Surrender Trade deals could be signed by a RAT and RATified; and that may very well have been Perot’s true purpose.

Then (surprise!) it almost looked like anti-NAFTA Perot might win. So he had to be extorted OUT of the race ... but only temporarily.
