Kendrick Lamar rebukes white fan who rapped n-word on stage with him

In American society, it is widely acknowledged that white people should not say the n-word. Nor should they rap it. Nor should they rap it on stage at a Kendrick Lamar performance in front of thousands of people.

One white-appearing woman, identified in a video as "Delaney," learned that lesson the very public way at Alabama's Hangout Festival on Sunday. Lamar invited Delaney onstage during his song "M.A.A.D. City," which chronicles the rapper and recent Pulitzer Prize winner's experiences growing up in Compton.

The song contains 15 instances of the slang word "n---a," three of which Delaney rapped with abandon. Until the music stopped halfway through the song.

"What's up? Aren't I cool enough for you?" she said, according to video of the incident posted on social media. The packed crowd can be heard booing and cursing at the woman.

"You got to bleep one single word," Lamar said.

Delaney admitted it was an honest mistake: "Did I do it? I'm so sorry ... I'm used to singing it like you wrote it."

Lamar allowed the visibly embarrassed woman to stay on stage and restart the song. Delaney sang along once more; this time, with the racial epithets noticeably absent.

Critics have long debated whether it is appropriate for white people to sing or rap the n-word if it appears in song lyrics. Given the historical use of the word as a racial epithet, many people believe a white person should avoid saying the word in any context.

On a November tour stop for his book "We Were Eight Years in Power," Atlantic columnist and author Ta-Nehisi Coates said he sees the word as a teaching moment for white people.

And yet, after all this time, people still roll their eyes at me when I propose a peaceful separation of our 2 disparate and incompatible groups.

Let this be a lesson to white kids who look up to rappers: you are nothing but a target to them.

The sheer stupidity of this we can use this word and you cannot is sort of like second grade behavior. We can do this and you cannot...neener neener. Illustrates the deep hatred blacks have for whites. Yet whites pander to blacks all the time clinging to the futile hope that our cultures will integrate. They never will solely due to the deeply imbedded hatred blacks have for whites. Blacks are the true racists. Once liberal whites understand that maybe we can sort out the problem. Fifty years of Great Society have failed.

Suburban white kids made rappers rich initially. It was the rebellious music in the late 80’s and 90’s. Listen to rap to piss your parents off.

But, would you admit you are an illegal if you were axed?

Too bad he didn’t go with this instead ;)

I’m a white boy
But my neck is red
I put Miracle Whip
On my Wonder Bread
My face is pale
Nah, I’ve never been in jail
Me and Buffy spend every winter at Vail
How many bitches have I slapped?
Zero, unh
And Martha Stewart happens to be my hero
I grew up on a farm and I was born with no rhythm
Dr. Phil’s my uncle and I like to hang with him
I can’t dance
I wear khaki pants
My middle name’s Lance
My grandma’s from France
So maybe I’m wack
Cause my skin ain’t black
But you can’t talk smack
Cause whitey just struck back

More fools they. I was able to irritate my mother sufficiently with Cyndi Lauper. Any woman who did such things to her hair was enough to upset mom.
