Despite forecasts of a blue tsunami, it’s still not guaranteed that Democrats will win back the House majority. But the playing field of competitive House races is expanding and shifting to almost exclusively Republican territory.
After the latest round of changes, Inside Elections now has 68 Republican seats rated as vulnerable compared to just 10 vulnerable Democratic seats. And there are at least a couple dozen more GOP-held seats that could develop into competitive races in the months ahead.
That discrepancy in the playing field is reminiscent of previous “wave” elections. In April 2010, there were 68 vulnerable Democratic House seats and 11 vulnerable Republican seats. Republicans gained 63 seats later than year. And in May 2006, there were 42 vulnerable Republican seats and 11 vulnerable Democratic seats. Six months later, Democrats gained 30 seats.

All I want to keep is the Senate - if we don’t get more of Trump’s judges, particularly on the Supreme Court, then it’s simply a matter of time before the Dems finally get to destroy the country.
As to the House - that would be nice, but given the behavior of all but a few of them, they deserve what they get.
I hope they keep posting this even though polls are crap. It will motivate the Republican Base and make the dems falsely confident.
Careful. If the democrats take over the House, every single committee will tie the Trump Administration and the White House in all kinds of investigations and oversight hearings. It will be a nightmare of democrats preening for the camera and making all kinds of accusations about everything.
The future of the House in 2023 depends of state elections for governor and legislative branches. 2020 census numbers will go to states 2021.

270 electoral votes needed to win. Currently, Hillary Clinton projected for 323 electoral votes vs. 197 for Donald Trump.
But their surveys of house seats are more complete, i.e. Hillary carried districts, open seats etc. more thorough road to 25 tallied by Sabato site or Cookpolitical.
