Something doesn’t add up - how can he be earning less than the minimum wage? By adding in hours when he isn’t working?
He may be a per diem hire.

So he admits he is really making 75 a day.
I wonder if he is counting his job as 40 hours/ week, 52 weeks/ year. It’s not going to prorate well across three months of VACATION.

Two things. It’s probably his net pay not his gross and he maybe on a 12 month pay...i.e. Get paychecks all year round even when not working so the pay for 9 months is evenly spread across 12. That said, I know NC pays jack in some districts but it’s more than 19k a year
