Almost six years ago, former Navy Seal and fighter against the Deep State, Matt Bracken, wrote this short story in the form of "confession" by an operative of a coup. This story was written in 2012, shortly before Obama's reelection, and the events of the story are consistent with the era and the events that unfolded in that time period.
The name of the story is called "What I Saw at the Coup." This is the BEST story I've ever read that translates the VITAL ROLE of our 2nd Amendment rights to bear arms, particularly to arms such as AR-15's and the equivalent, and the TRUE reason the 2nd Amendment was written in its entire state, including the militia.
Although we have TEMPORARILY dodged a bullet in terms of the actual method in which the story unfolded, I highly recommend everyone read this story as often as possible. Remember: We are ThisClose to LOSING IT ALL, and our republic; indeed, the fate of all humanity, depends on our defense of this US Constitution.
My favorite line is this:
"If the media lies, the media dies.
You take a side, youre along for the ride.
A traitor in front of a camera is still just a traitor."

“The two bear a remarkable resemblance to one another. “
And you never see them in the same place together!
Bttt.

“Sorry, he only writes fiction. “
Sort of. I remember when he was writing Domestic Enemies. He was writing fast just to keep past current events. I swear there were probably at least 5 things he said, “This is fantasy, but it could happen”, and they did within weeks of his writing them.
This piece still moves me, and yes, I do credit it with slowing down the progressives until we could accomplish the cleanup without snipers.
For a hastily conceived piece, it is extraordinarily well written. The author did a great job.
I've had my suspicions for a long time. The two bear a remarkable resemblance to one another.
CGI technology has made great strides in the last decade.
television reporter Cathy Carlsen was killed in Norfolk, shot dead while covering the commissioning of the Harvey Milk,
I thought of this article when they actually did commission a Harvey Milk ship.
Maybe it is just me but it seems that Matt’s writing is getting better. Not that it was poor to start with.
I thought “Red Cliffs” was the most readable one yet.
Love this !
Maybe someone should send the story to Mueller...
Yep - it’s a powerful story that needs retelling from time to time.
He’s improved with time and practice. Even DE was better than EFAD and that was only two years apart.
Thank you for posting this story. I had not read it before and it is close to what I have imagined in the past.
However, I think there are enclaves of liberals out here in rural America that are very anti-conservative. I do think Soros and his kith and kin are responsible for much of the current unrest (not our locals) and it is our responsibility to make him less responsible. I muse on this occasionally.
Here in the Big Empty the VFD has an unbonded treasurer who also serves on the town council with another unbonded treasurer. The two are friends. The one in the VFD was arrested a week or so ago on shoplifting charges with video indicating it has been on-going for some 3 solid months. We surmise the total cost to WalMart may be close to $1000. The “king” of this town is a Democrat and he will protect her to the point of not even a misdemeanor charge even though the PA State Police arrested her. I Corruption is this town’s middle name and most of the people in the town are Democrats but no one so far has posted any anti-gun sentiments. And they are silent about the treasurer who never speaks to me because I am blatantly pro-Trump.
You all might enjoy this story as well. It was wonderfully narrated by radio talker Michael Dukes.

My counterjihad writing for Gates of Vienna is here, including some short fiction.

If you wait until it’s history, and you lose, it’s too late.
Then you are just another bitter loser lamenting what might have been.
Like Suthruners wailing “The South shall rise agin!” for 150 years.
I suggest that anyone begin with my last and best novel, not my first.
Really? I consider Matt way more handsome.
I loved this story, thanks for writing it.
I didn’t write it, that would be Freeper “Travis McGee”, Matt Bracken.
