Putting a mole in the campaign so that the mole would be able to report back during the transition appears to be the motive.

But, that would mean the DS figured Trump would win. Q says, “They didn’t think she would lose.” So, why put the mole in a campaign destined to lose? It would have been just as easy to place a mole in the transition team.

Me thinks the mole was there to determine if Trump was getting close to the secrets. And, to determine the best course of action. The mole was the insurance policy.

I think it was Carter Page, the determination was building up the Russia/Russia/Russia case. Now, Page will be “protected” by the FBI.
