LOL! Well, I SHARE your prejudice! I still love my Apple laptop! You talked me through some of my early adjustments, which I continue to appreciate!

My eye doctor actually told me there is a setting on it I can adjust to minimize the blue light output from it, but was not able to locate it and adjust the setting so that I was sure that what he was telling me would be an appropriate setting....hence the blockers since he gave me the choice.

I guess that is true that time spent with the unit in question has to be a factor for creating that burning sensation.

Thanks so very much for the information! I know you have studied all of this to a fare thee well and are (blue!) light years ahead of me on it! I do appreciate it.

Try putting your finger at the top of your screen and drag down opening a new window. There should be a Blue Shade option.
